Meridian's solution was to use ASP and Access to create
a cataloging system for the images, allowing the easy creation
and administration of photographs and function details by the
photographer.
Within each event a photographer can create a series of albums
from a choice of styles and select which pictures belong to
each album and in which order they are displayed. The rotation
of images is also possible at this stage. A built in feature
allows a photographer or event organiser to add a password to
prevent unauthorised access.
A user navigates to the correct event and can then select which
album they would like to view (these have been named by the
photographer) and add chosen images to the shopping basket.
Each album also has a slide show feature showing all album pictures
rotation.
The shopping basket, protected by a SSL (Thawte) allows the
choice of finish, quantity and size to be selected and then
takes you through the online transaction via HSBC.
